Who Joins Hearts In The Semis Of The NC Competition
Asante Kotoko have the potential of becoming Premier A champions if they are able to win at Nana Agyeman Badu Park in Dormaa against Aduana Stars, a venue that they have never won at in the past 10 years.
But if they are to get a draw then they will have to hope Eleven Wonders stop AshantiGold from winning while they sit on the fence for a miracle from Berekum Chelsea as they battle it out against Mauves and Yellow, Medeam at the T&A Park.
If the unthinkable is to happen and Asante Kotoko’s unimpressive outings continue in Dormaa and lose then they will have to pray both Ashanti Gold and Medeam respectively lose their games.
A win for Kotoko means a semifinals with rivals Hearts Of Oak in Accra.
Ashanti Gold need a win against Wonders and hope either Medeam or Kotoko drop points to aid their qualification. Even if the miners draw they will still need Kotoko and Medeama to lose.
Medeama probably have huge chance of winning, they will welcome Chelsea to their fortress the Tarkwa T&A park in a game they need to win and hope the Asante teams ( Kotoko and AshGold drop points )
A draw for Medeama means they will need favours from Aduana to either beat or draw against Kotoko.
The fight for the semifinal slot in Premier B.
Leaders Hearts of Oak have already booked their place in the semifinals, the phobians did that in week 12 with a win over Karela and are waiting for second place team in Premier B.
Who get the final slot in B?
The fight for the finals slot is between Karela and Liberty professionals. Both team have home games against Dwarfs and Wafa respectively. Liberty’s only lost at home this season was against leaders Hearts and will now need to get a win against academy boys Wafa and hope second place Karela drop points at home against Dwarfs.
Karela have the easiest task of qualifications as all they need is a draw at the fortress CAM Park against Dwarfs. CAM Park has become deadly for the rest of the top flight sides as they have gone 60 games unbeaten (58 wins and 2 draws) since seeking qualification and unbeaten in 93 games featured there.
Karela have a better head to head against Liberty after beating them 1-0 at home and drawing 3-3 in an impressive game at the Carl Reindoff Park in Dansoman.
The semifinals of the NCSpecial competition will be a one-off game. The winner of Premier A will play the runner up in Premier B and the B winner plays the runner up in A. Winners of the groups will have the opportunity of playing at home in the one-off game
